A group of friends could get together and go thrift store shopping and make a really fun day out of it.

Go somewhere nice for lunch to take a break from shopping....a pretty ,cozy restaurant. Take fun pictures! There are so many amazing things in great condition I have found at thrift stores, including clothes.

Then after the shopping, have a garage sale. Whatever items you are selling to raise money for Johnnys Angels, put a sign up by the items and say the money goes towards this.

Or, use the profits from the garage sale to buy Christmas presents for children in hospitals.
